Kata itself is known for its nightlife, but during the day, there are many good restaurants that have settled around the luxury resorts and special guests as the restaurant "The Gallery" on the rocks between the bays with top chefs. Kata beach is third on the popularity scale of Phuket beaches. The beach is bisected by a cliff into the beaches Kata Yai and Kata Noi. The two coves of white beach are very nice. The northern section of Kata Yai is fully booked with the Hotel Club Med. Both parts are good for swimming. In Kata Noi is sometimes reported by currents. Snorkeling can be very good on the opposite island of Koh Pu, which is accessible by a short boat ride. The place-assorted kata is still a very small town with narrow streets. The resorts, shops, bars and restaurants are a chaotic Zusammenwürfelung with more and more traffic in the streets. Kata from the airport is located about 50 km.
