Best time to visit:
Most agreeable to the months of November to March. However, there is a
relatively high humidity year round.
Phuket is a paradise with a history.
Chinese colonialists, hippies, they are all attracted to its convenient location

Entry requirements:
German nationals need for tourist entry for stays of up to 30 days, no pre-entry

The German children's ID card is not generally recognized in Thailand. The entry
of children is possible with the German children's passport, the entry in the
passport of a parent is not enough.
Dogs and cats must be presented at the entry, a veterinary health certificate
and a Tollwutimpfzeugnis. Not to be imported dogs of the breeds American

Traveling across country:
Because of sporadic clashes along the border between Myanmar Travel should be on

Vaccination:
There are no vaccination requirements for travel from Europe. At present travel
from an infected area must have a yellow fever vaccination certificate.
Exceptions are children under nine months.

Diseases transmitted by mosquitoes:
Due to the increased rainfall that are occurring in Thailand from May until
about October for many insects, such as Mosquito breeding sites more available.
This increases the number of vector mosquitoes. This is why diseases occur are
transmitted by mosquitoes, such as Dengue fever, Japanese encephalitis and
malaria during and after the rainy periods more frequently. Most precipitation
occurs during the months of September and October. The Health Ministry said 29
provinces of the country's regions with increased dengue transmission risk.
These include: Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi, Rayong,
Samut Prakan, Nakhon Nayok, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Prachuap Khiri Khan,
Samut Sakhon, Buri Ram, Surin, Khon Kaen, Roi-et, Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket ,
Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, Lamphun, Surat Thani, Chumphon, Ranong,
Phangnga, Krabi, Songkhla, Narathiwat and Bangkok. Good mosquito protection, and
- after a medical consultation - possibly a vaccine against Japanese
encephalitis are at risk appropriate therefore essential.
